Georgetown House Tour

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I pick up tickets?
Pick up tickets at St. John’s between 10am and 4pm on the day of the house tour.  Bring your ticket receipt to the lawn of St. John’s to receive a Georgetown House Tour Magazine, which will serve as your ticket for entry into all of the houses and the Tea.  If you would prefer to purchase your tickets in person rather than online, simply bring check, credit card, or cash to the St. John’s lawn to receive your Magazine (note that tickets cost $5 more when bought the day of the Tour).
Can I bring my children?
Children over age 12 and infants are welcome to attend, but we discourage young children from attending.  Infants may come into the houses, but please note that the homes cannot accommodate strollers.  We recommend that you arrange to have someone to wait outside with your stroller or bring a baby carrier.
What is the tour route?
The homes are within a six-block radius of St. John’s. The House Tour Magazine has a map to guide you. Volunteers on site can suggest recommended routes, but you may visit the homes in any order that you wish.
Are there hotels close to St. John’s and the tour route?
Georgetown is an incredibly walkable community, so you may stay at any number of hotels in the area depending upon what suits your needs.  The Georgetown Inn, the Holiday Inn, and the Four Seasons accommodate a variety of price points.
Is there transportation provided?
This is a walking tour, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes!
What if it rains?
The tour happens every year, rain or shine!  Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us–it was gorgeous last year–but it is never a bad idea to bring an umbrella.
Where should I park?
See the parking section of our website.
