A: This depends on whether you want to see all of the homes and what pace you wish to set for yourself. In general, it takes about 20 minutes to visit each house.

Q: How far away are the house on the Tour from one another?

A: Most houses are within three blocks (some less) from each other. Your Tour Book includes a map for you to plan you route. You may visit the homes in any order.

Q: What houses are on the Tour this year?

A: The addresses of the homes of the Tour are announced approximately one week before the Tour date.

Q: Is photography allowed?

A: Photography outside of the homes is allowed. No photographs may be taken inside these private residences.

Q: What is the policy on children attending the House Tour?

A: Everyone entering homes on the Tour must have a ticket, including children. While there is no age restriction, we encourage adults-only participation on Tour Day given the unpredictability of our younger guests! Please note that strollers and children in child-backpacks are not allowed in any of the homes on our tour.

Q: Do attendees need to remove their shoes at each house?

A: You do not need to remove your shoes. All attendees will be given a pair of booties (shoe covers) when they receive their ticket. Booties are to be worn in each house and removed before walking the streets of Georgetown. Take your booties with you to reuse at the next house you visit. Chairs will be provided for putting on and removing booties. Prohibited in all the homes are: high heels, bare feet or stocking feet. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Q: What time does the the Tea open?

A: The Tea, included in the price of your ticket, is held in Saint John's Blake Hall from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Please note that the Tea is very popular and a line usually begins to form prior to the 2 p.m. opening. The Tea is a great place to relax, rest your feet and plan the next leg of your tour, but please be courteous of those waiting for a table.

Q: Is there parking available at the church?

A: Saint John's does not have available parking, however there are several parking lots and garages within three blocks of the church. Click here for a pdf list of the parking facilities. Street can be found in Georgetown but the two-hour limit is strickly enforced.

A: Please be aware that our Tour is held rain or shine. There are no cancellations or refunds.
